Defi Inter Alliances | French Contest

The Défi Inter Alliances is back!

This year 2023, the French Alliance network USA is participating in a worldwide contest in which the Alliance students of AF from different countries will face each other by answering questions about French culture: art, gastronomy, history and language.  

In this third edition, the contest is international and more than 15 countries participate. It will be organized with two online tools : Zoom and Kahoot.  

This contest will follow three phases:

• In the first phase, there will be a local preselection among the participants of Alliance Française Miami Metro. The first phase will be held on Saturday November 4th at 10.AM. 

• The two winners of each AF of this first phase will go on to the USA national phase on Saturday

November 15th at 7.P.M, representing their center.

• The two winners of the national stage will finally meet on Sunday December 3rd at 8.A.M, for the international final, in which they will compete with students from all over the world!
 

What are the conditions to participate?

You can sign up for the contest if you are:  

• A member or Student of AFMM with an A2 level of French at least

• And if you are 16 years old or older.  
  

You must have 2 devices connected to the Internet: a computer for Zoom video conferencing and a smartphone to participate in Kahoot.

Price:

• At the local level: the two winners will win prizes and goodies from our partners "Essence Corp", "European Books", "Marie Blachère"

• The two winners of the USA national final will win a selection of books worth 150$.* 

•The first prize in the international competition is a 15-day language stay in a partner Alliance, including transport and half-board, for the three highest scores.

Make sure you are available on Saturday November 4th at 10.AM, Saturday November 15th at 7PM (USA national phase) and Sunday December 3rd at 8.A.M  (international final).
