Jacques Brion Scholarship 

In 2021, the Alliance Francaise Miami Metro (AFMM) launched its annual inaugural fundraiser for the  Jacques Brion Scholarship honoring the legacy of Jacques Brion.

 A founding member and the organization’s first President in 2018, Jacques was a driving force behind AFMM’s creation. He worked tirelessly with French authorities to secure official accreditation and was deeply committed to the vision that South Florida deserved a strong and vibrant Alliance Francaise to champion the French language and francophone cultures.

The Jacques Brion Scholarship reaches out to multiple recipients:

•  Students seeking to enhance their proficiency in the French language may apply for funding to supply their tuition or to undertake special projects within the AFMM, their school's or college French Language curriculum. 

• Teachers , including those not affiliated to AFMM, seeking accreditation to teach French  in  schools or language centers requiring a FLE (Francais Langue Etrangere) certification, are eligible for  a 2-year   Master's program tuition waiver  at ICEFI.

•  Our AFMM infrastructure, for funding specific tangible projects in our AFMM classrooms and office.
