The Jacques Brion Scholarship grants:

• Students, seeking to enhance their proficiency in the French language and discovery of the francophone cultures by enrolling in classes or  undertaking special projects within the AFMM, their school or college French Department. 
• Teachers, including those not affiliated to AFMM, seeking accreditation (Master) to teach French in Florida schools or colleges requiring a FLE (Français Langue Etrangère) certification, through the ICEFI ** online program.

The scholarship is named in honor of Jacques Brion, who was instrumental in founding the Alliance Française Miami Metro (AFMM) and became its first President in 2018. Jacques worked tirelessly with the French authorities to obtain the official accreditation of the AFMM and firmly believed that South Florida deserved a great Alliance to promote the French language and francophone cultures.

The Alliance Française of Miami Metro wishes to thank the Brion family, the private and corporate donors, the French Florida Associations FACC and CCE, for their generosity in establishing a scholarship program that will, in Jacques Brion’s name, encourage, enable and promote the study of the French language and culture among deserving and enthusiastic young people.
