Jacques Brion Scholarship
The scholarship honors Jacques Brion, co-founder and 1st President of the Alliance Française Miami Metro (2018). He played a key role in
securing official accreditation and championed the creation of a strong Alliance to promote French language and francophone culture in South
Florida..
This scholarship supports:

Students and young professionals in enriching their proficiency in the French language and discovering francophone cultures through AFMM
classes or special projects.

Teachers seeking accreditation to teach French as a Foreign Language (FLE), with priority given to AFMM classes, extended to the Miami
bilingual schools (homologuées or LabelFrancÉducation).
- AFMM in improving its equipment and resources for the benefit of its students, teachers, and members.
Since its creation in 2021, the Jacques Brion Scholarship has provided:
- Full tuition to teachers pursuing their Master in FLE (Français Langue Étrangère) certification.
- Full tuition for AFMM students for two sessions of classes.
- Full expenses for a study trip to Paris, including classes at Alliance Française de Paris for AFMM students.
- A library featuring digital educational materials and books for both adults and children, located in the AFMM foyer.
