Dis-Moi Dix Mots

2026 EDITION

This year, as every year, the French Cultural Services in Miami / Villa Albertine and the Alliance Française Miami Metro launch, across the schools of Florida (either with a French bilingual Program or offering French classes taught as a foreign language) the 2026 edition of the “Dis-moi dix mots” contest.

Each year, a theme intended to convey a message about the French language and ten words illustrating it are chosen by the various French speaking partners of the OPALE network: France, Belgium, Quebec, Switzerland and the International Organization of the Francophonie (representing 84 states and governments).

Objective

The purpose of the contest is to invite the students to play and express themselves and give free rein to their creativity with ten words in either a literary or artistic form: ten words to write, recite, sing, draw, photograph or film...!

2026 Edition : « Dis-moi dix mots d'un monde à venir »

“Tell me 10 words of a world to come"(literally) …

This edition invites us to imagine the world to come and to reflect on the transformations shaping our future. Social changes, technological progress, new ways of living together and emerging challenges all call for new words and new perspectives. Language plays a key role in helping us envision these possible futures, express hopes and concerns, and better understand the world we are building.

Here are the 10 words:
alunir, anticipation, continuum, dystopique, humanoïde, particule, programmer, sidéral, théorie, transmuter
