The Jacques Brion Scholarship Students
This scholarship supports students and young professionals pursuing proficiency in the French language and enriching their
understanding of francophone culture.
Eligible Applicants Must:
- Be a student* whose academic or career goals require proficiency in the French language.

Be a young professional seeking to enhance their resume with French language skills to improve employment or advancement
opportunities.

Be a passionate francophile who embraces the #livefrench #lovefrench #learnfrench lifestyle and has a clear, personal plan
to improve their French and deepen their understanding of francophone culture.
*Priority will be given to AFMM students. High school students enrolled in the Miami-Dade bilingual schools, or college students
pursuing a French degree in a South Florida University, may also apply to attend AFMM classes or special projects.
Selection Criteria:
The AFMM Scholarship Committee will consider financial need, academic merit, and alignment between the applicant’s career goal and the
study of French language.
Funding Details:
- Scholarship funds may cover tuition or project-related expenses.
- No direct cash awards will be issued to recipients.

Payments will be made directly to cover eligible costs, including registration fees, course enrollment, textbooks, or approved project
expenses.

A written essay in English of 600 words maximum, describing reasons for applying, career plans, and intended benefits to be derived from

For Professionals, one letter of recommendation from the applicant’s colleagues or employer. (.doc or .pdf).

For university and high school students, a current official transcript of grades and one faculty letter of recommendation
(.doc or .pdf sent from the professor's university/school e-mail address)
