The Défi Inter Alliances is back! 😎

This year 2024, the Alliance Française network USA is participating in a worldwide contest in which the students of AF from different countries will face each other by answering questions about French culture: art, gastronomy, history and language.  

In this fourth edition, the contest is international and more than 15 countries participate.
 

This contest will follow four phases:

• In the first phase, there will be a local preselection among the participants of Alliance Française Miami Metro. The first phase will be held, in person, on Tuesday, April 30^th at 5.PM. 

• The two winners of each AF of this first phase will go on to the USA national phase on Saturday, May 11^th at 1.P.M, representing their center.

• The two national winners from each country go head-to-head in a regional final coordinated by the organizing committee and the Foundation on Saturday, June 1^st.

• The winners from each geographical zone will finally compete in the international final, on Tuesday, October 1^st organized by the organizing committee and the Foundation in person at the Théâtre de l'Alliance Française in Paris. The audience, made up of high school students, will also be able to take part in the final at the Théâtre.

 

What are the conditions to participate?

You can sign up for the contest if you are:  

• A  student of AFMM with an A2, B1, B2, C1 or C2 level - or one of these levels in progress.

• And if you are at least 18 years old on September 15, 2024.  

You will need a fully charged phone with an internet connection.

Prizes:

• At the local level: the two winners will win prizes and goodies. 1^st place on the podium will win a 6-week lesson session worth $310 at the Alliance Française. 2^nd place on the podium will win a $50 voucher for use at the Alliance Française.

• The two winners of the USA national final will win a selection of books and goodies.

• For the Regional Final, the winners (1 per zone) will be offered a stay in Paris during the week of September 30 to October 6, 2024, in order to take part in the International Final on October 1, 2024. (The dates of the trip may be subject to change, provided they remain within the same period).
