Russell Kelley, author of The Making of Paris and Michel Picaud, Founder and President of The Friends of Notre-Dame de Paris discuss the long and eventful history of the greatest Parisian church of all, the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris, from its inception in 1163 to the catastrophic fire that destroyed its attic, roof, and spire on April 15, 2019, and the rebuilding work undertaken to date to enable the cathedral to reopen at the end of 2024.

"La Rebelle" | Movie night with Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance
Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance invite you to the screening of "La Rebelle".
A film by Sacha Parisot, La Rebelle is a story about a coming-of-age Haitian teenage girl. Lorraine, played by Nathalie Ambroise, soon to
be 18, who lives a life of the wealthy elite in Haiti. Her relationship with her father Carl, played by Reginald Lubin, spirals out of
control after she finds her dad with a new girlfriend. La Rebelle is a poignant, funny, and touching film.
Movie is in French and Haitian Creole with English subtitles.

Shreni
Les deux figurent féminines qui m'inspirent le plus sont Savitribai Phule, éducatrice, et poétesse indienne qui a contribué à la création de la première école pour filles en Inde en 1848 ainsi que Simone de Beauvoir.
ANNA
Mon étoile, c'est Marguerite Yourcenar, nous partageons d'être nées à Bruxelles et d'avoir choisi l'Amérique. Elle fut à la fois membre de l'Académie Royale de Langue et de Littérature Française de Belgique (1979), première femme à l'Académie française (1980) et membre de l'American Academy of Arts and Letters (1982).
